Jade is the name given to two different minerals Jadeite and Nephrite,
but due to the similar appearance and uses no distinction is made
between them. Jade is usually carved to bring out its beauty. It
is most often used in pendants and statues.
Most jade is light green in
colour, but it occurs in dozens of other colours. The most valuable form
of Jade, known as "Imperial Jade", is emerald-green in colour.
Mottled green and white Jade is another popular colour habit of Jade.
Rarer colours of Jade are yellow, pink, purple, and black.
Jade is said to help one relax. It is considered a very balanced stone
-- it helps one in both the vision of tasks to do as well as doing the
actual tasks.
