Tanzanite General Information

Tanzanite may be blue, purple or slate grey. 

Tanzanite is often heat treated to to enhance its colour and remove any yellow or brown overtones.

Tanzanite can easily be scratched or chipped. Clean your Tanzanite with warm, soapy water and a soft bristle brush. Avoid using ultrasonic cleaning.

Where Tanzanite is mined

Tanzanite was found in Tanzania in 1967. Thulite is mined in Norway.
